Puleo's Knocks the Canvas off Michael Angelo's with Giordano Grand Slam. Puleo's was feeling the 9am blues in the first inning after three errors open the door to a 4-0 Angelo's lead. Keith Blicht made them pay with a two run triple and Mike Citron also singled in a run. Fortunately Mark Spotto(2-2) must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express drilling two solo homeruns. One in the first inning with two outs as Puleo's cuts the lead to 4-1. Angelo's keeps scoring going in the 2nd after Abe Heller walked, another Puleo's error and a single by Dean Sottile make it 5-1 Angelo's. In the top of the 3rd Jon Mach singled and the hot Don Rothrock singled to bring up the top of Michael Angelo's order. Jeff Axelrad singled to load the bases for Rich Citron who also singled to score a run. But the potential big inning is cut short as their 3,4 and 5 batters can't get on. Puleo's takes advantages as the other well rested player Cliff Neukrug(3-3) singled and with two outs Mark Spotto was walked bringing up Joe Giordano who singled in a run before Al Puleo hit a two run double down the right field line. Angelo's still leads 7-4. But after Abe Heller left the game Michael Angelo's didn't score another run. In the 5th Puleo's picks up another run on a Mark Spotto opposite field homerun over the right center fence. Joe Giordano doubled but didn't score. Angelo's still leads 7-5. In the 6th Puleo's finally wakes up after Dave Kaiser lined out to start the inning Vince Wolleon singled, Cliff Neukrug singled, Cluch Puleo walked to load the bases for Eric Rosenberg who hit a sac fly. Then with two outs and runners on 1st and 3rd Angelo's walks Mark Spotto, bringing up Joe Giordano with Angelo's holding a 1 run lead. Joe makes them pay with a grand slam giving Puleo's a 10-7 lead. They add some more on singles by Al Puleo, Joel Orris and Ryan Goodrich, loading the bases for Dave Kaiser who started the inning with a lineout. Dave comes through with a two run single and Puleo's goes on to win 12-7.
