Columbia Inn Stirs Up A Big Win Over Tito's Columbia was missing the Cobuzio's but still managed to hang on for a big win over league leading Tito's in extra innings. Tito's Shaun Spielberger singled to start the game and scored with two outs on a single by father John. In the bottom Columbia's lead off batter Jonathan Drillings singled and brother David tripled to tie the game at 1. Rick Beyer(3-4) singled home David and it's Columbia 2-1 after 1. With one out Temple Houston gets on by error, Adam Handler singled, Mark Davis singled, Shaun Spielberger saced in Temple, Ryan Coletti walked. Then Clay Petry delivers a two out single scoring two more runs, Tito's takes a 4-2 lead. Columbia's Kevin Zabransky Jr singled, Jason Dickert(3-4) stays hot with a single, David Drillings walked and Ricky Beyer delivers a key two out, two run double to tie the game at 4. No score in the 3rd. Tito's picks up two in the fourth after Mark Davis(4-4) singled, Shaun Spielberger singled and with two outs Clay Petry(3-4) comes through again with a two run single, Tito's leads 6-4. Columbia doesn't score in the 4th and Tito's is shut down in the top of the 5th. Gary Drillings starts the bottom of the 5th with a single, Kevin Zabransky singled, Eamon singled and Jr somehow gets on by error which allows 2 runs to score before Eamon is thrown out going to 3rd, score tied 6-6. In the 6th Tito's regains the lead after Mark Davis singled, Shaun singled, Ryan singled, Clay Petry walked in a run before Casey Nix sacs in a 2nd run. Tito's by 2 8-6. The rollercoaster continues in the bottom of the 6th when Columbia's Jason Dickert leads off with a single, Jonathan Drillings singled and Rick Beyer singled home Jason. Gary Drilling hits a sac fly to tie it and Mark Fedele singled to give Columbia a one run lead. Kevin Zabransky gets on by error scoring another run and Columbia takes a 10-8 lead with Tito's coming up in the top of the 7th needing two to tie. They get it when Temple Houston walked, Adam Handler singled and Mark Davis delivers a big game tying double, on to extra innings. Tito's failed to score to start the 8th. In the bottom Rick Beyer singled and with two outs Kevin Zabransky comes through with his 3rd singled of the game. Rick Beyer is on 3rd with two outs and Eamon Loughran hit a walk off single. The standings are getting even tighter.
