Down To The Wire. In a back in forth game with two wire shots, the Station gets a big two out single from Jim Morris in the top of the 7th, then holds on for the win. The Station plays Rails for the 3rd straight time and wins another close game. The Station jumped out to a 3 run first inning lead after Dave Richmond walked, Jared Kruger singled, Don Sr(4-4) walked to load the bases for Jim Morris(4-5) who singled in the game's 1st and last run. Mike Levine hit a shot in the hole at short that Brian Godau made a nice play in the hole and almost threw out the runner at 3rd. That allowed another run to score before Larry Friedman(2-3) singled home the 3rd run. The Station is up 3-0. Brian Godau walked for Rail's, John Sanzone singled, Bruce Dostal singled, Bob Fass(2-3) singled in one, Jared Bruno sacked in a second run to cut the lead to 3-2. Both team score 1 in the 2nd. Dave Richmond singled and with one out Don Trifari singled, Jim Morris singled but Jared Kruger was thrown out at home on a nice throw by Christian Hansen. Ralph Aiello singled scoring Don from 2nd. Rail's scored on a single by Frank Coppola, single by Rich Heim(2-3) and error off the bat of Michael Bedell pushed one run across. The Station is still up 4-3. Neither team scored in the 3rd. Rail's takes the lead in the 4th after Bob Fass's doubled turned into an inside the park homer, followed by our first wire shot, Jared Bruno's ball hit the wire and deflected up for a solo homerun and Rail's is up 5-4. In the 5th Steve Horowitz hit the second wire shot, it was going out of the park before the ball deflected off the wire for a stand up triple. Larry Friedman picks up a sack fly, Lance Zacker singles and Dave Richmond surprised Rail's with a triple to deep left center to score Lance and give the Station a 1 run lead. The Station gets another run after Don Trifari singled off the pitcher's glove, Jim Morris singled, Don moves to third on a fielder's choice and scored on a singled by Steve Horowitz. The Station is up by 2 7-5. In the bottom of the 6th Bruce Dostal walked, then with 2 outs Christian Hansen ties the game with a bomb to center. So it's on to the 7th, score tied 7-7.
