Down to the last Orris. In a back in forth game with many lead changes, Rooney's found themselves down 2 runs with 2 outs in the top of the 7th. The Irish Pub jumped up 3-0 when both Drillings singled, Keith Blicht doubled and Al Puleo hit a sac fly. Marty Eagen singled in the third run. In the top of the 2nd Rooney's gets on the board when manager Tony Garrett started things with a single, then Joel Orris(4-4) singled, Dave Reiss knocked in the first run and with 2 outs Chris Capobianco (2-3) singled in a 2nd run, Evan Orris(3-4) singled and Josh Berliner walked in run number 3. Eric Stivers singled in run number 4 and Rich Cobuzio(3-4) doubled in runs 5 & 6. 6-3 Rooney's. They add 3 more in the 3rd when Adam Steckleman singled and again with 2 outs Rooney's runs start scoring. This time Joel Orris doubled ro right to score Adam, Dave Reiss singled and Kevin Zabransky (3-4) singled in two more. 9-3 Rooney's. But the fighting Irish come right back with 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to tie it. Both Drillings singled again followed by hits from Rick Beyer, Keith Blicht(3-4) and Rick Delgizzi plus a few errors. 9-9 after 3. Both teams exchange runs in the 4th and the Irish regain the lead with one run in the bottom (11-10). The Irish add one more in the 6th and Rooney's is trailing 12-10 in the 7th. Now with two outs and Rich Cobuzio who singled on first, Adam Steckleman keeps it alive with a single, Tony Garrett singled to score Rich and Joel Orris comes through with a singled past a diving Keith Blicht at first. The Irish fail to score in the bottom and we go to extra innings, tied 12-12. This time Rooney's bottom of the order comes through. Kevin Zabransky singled and with one out Chris Capobianco blasts a big triple to left. The other Orris, Evan singles to score Chris. Rooney's is up 14-12 and holds on to complete the comeback. The Irish were looking pretty green after this one. 4 Rooney's players had 3 or more hits including Rich Cobuzio, Kevin Zabransky and Joel and Evan Orris who combined for 7 hits. Only Keith Blicht had 3 hits for the Irish.
