Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory. Rooney's D unravels in the last inning allowing Maynard's to Olohan them another disappointing late inning loss. Rooney's picked up 2 first inning runs off singles from Mark Davis(3-3), Brad Hartung(3-3), Adam Steckleman and Tony Garrett. Maynard's answers right back with 3 runs of their own after Kay Klele walked, Ryan Smith, Brain Cass both singled to load the bases for Mike Citron who singled in one run, Steve Horowitz singled in another and a 3rd scores on a throwing error. Both teams trade a run till the 6th when Rooney's is trailing by 1 4-3. Josh Berliner singled to lead off the 6th for Rooney's and leadoff batter Mark Davis followed with a single, an error loads the bases with no outs and Brad Hartung gives Rooney's the lead with a single to center. Adam Steckleman adds another run with a single and Tony Garrett doubles to right center to give Rooney's a 3 run lead before Adam Steckleman is gunned down trying score. Maynard's cuts the lead to 2 with one run in the 6th and Rooney's fails to score in the top of the 7th. Trailing by 2 Maynard's manager Ron Liebowitz manages to find a gap between 1st and 2nd. The right fielder trys to throw Ron out at first, which leads to a throwing error. With Ron at 2nd Kay Klele singled and the ball gets by the left fielder allowing the tying run to move to 2nd. Ryan Smith sacs him over to third and Brian Cass hits a sac fly to tie the game. With two outs and nobody on Ryan Olohan ends the game abruptly with a triple to right center. The relay is dropped allowing Ryan to Olohan Rooney's another loss, 8-7.
