The Mets Top the Standings while the Sleeping Goats are Rolling Down The Mountain with 4th Straight Loss. The Mets were tuned in tonight while the Goats appeared to be still dazed by that 10 run 7th inning Panda milking from last night. Met Manager David Plishka(2-3) got the game started with a single, Jason Rhodes singled when nobody covered first, then two runs score on a double by Derek Lynn. Bob Plishka(2-2) singled and Rick Beyer hit a sac fly to put the Mets up 3-0. The Goats scored their only runs of the game in the 2nd inning when Chris Mazur singled and with two outs Lee Ehudin singled. Eric Stivers singled to load the bases for Christian Hansen who double to right center. Met are up 3-2 after 2. Neither team scored again till the bottom of the 5th when Mets Matt Siekierka reached on error, Kevin Zabransky singled and they try to score Matt. Matt is dead at home but the cather couldn't hold on. Gary Drillings ripped a shot to center and Nick Catanese hits a sac fly to give the Mets a 5-2 lead. They pick up just one more run in the 6th on a single by Dave Plishka, double by Derek Margiotta and sac by Bob Plishka. And that's all they needed as the Goats only managed 8 hits off ERA leader Grandpa Kevin Zabransky.
