Martini's Forget To Take Out The Pit in 14-4 Loss. The Martini's have been making so many margaritas; they forgot to take out the Pit. Peach Pit jumps all over the Martini's and continues their streak of taking down playoff teams. The Martini's jumped out to an early 4-0 lead when Alex Fass(2-3) led off with a single, Frank McNally singled, Bob Fass(2-2) doubled in a run, Frank Coppola singled in another, Christian Hansen singled to score Bob, Mike Bedell singled and Jim Stathis singles scoring Frank. But the Pit can hit and match their 4 plus 2. Mike Koonjy led off with a walk, Brian Koonjy (3-3) hits the first of his three doubles, Jason Crimmins sacs in a run, Chris Walsifer singles in another, Brian Kelly(3-3) singled, Tony Garrett reaches on error, Ralph Avallone singles in Brian to tie the score, Chris Koonjy singles in Tony and Mike Amoia scores Ralph on a fielder's choice. Pit leads 6-4 after 1. In the second Alex Fass doubles but gets thrown out going for 3 and Martin's fail to score. Brian Koonjy doubles again for Pit, then Jason Crimmins walks, Chris Walsfier singled, the hot Brian Kelly singles in a run, Tony Garrett singles in another, Ralph Avallone walks in a run and Chris Koonjy scores another with a fielder's choice, Pit leads 10-4. Bob Fass leads off with a double for the Martini's but doesn't score and Pit pours it on with 4 more. This time Ken Crimmins gets it started with a one out single, Mke Koonjy doubles, Brain Koonjy hits his third double scoring two, Jason Crimmins doubles in Brian, Chris Walsifer singles and Brian Kelly singles in the last run, Pit is up 14-4 and it's getting dark and starting to look like rain so they go to a 1-1 count. Martini's don't score in the 4th and the rains begin and this game is official since Peach Pit is the home team. For Peach Pit, Brian Koonjy, Brian Kelly and Chris Walsifer were all 3-3 in 3 innings.
