Peach Pit Breaks Out The Hamberger Helper to Cook the Clams 23-9 . Jason Hamberger led the batting menu for Peach Pit going 5-5 while Jason and Ken Crimmins brought the hot sauce, combining for 5 RBI's out of the Pit's 8 runs in the big 5th inning that blew the game open. Pit was trailing 6-5 when Ralph Avallone led off the 5th with a single, then Jason, after filling the batter's box with dirt (yawn), blasted his 4th homerun of the season, giving Pit a one run lead. Brian Kelly, Tony Garett, Jason Hamberger, Mike Amoia and Steve Horowitz all singled and the Pit is up 9-6 with bases loaded and Ken Crimmins is at the plate. Ken launches one over the left center fielder's head for a bases clearing double and Pit was cooking up Clams the rest of the game. In the 6th, Brian Koonjy homered off the right center field fence and Pit goes on to win 23-9. Jason Hamberger was 5-5 with 3 RBI's, Jason Crimmins was 4-4 with 4 RBI's and a homer, Mike Koonjy was 4-5, Steve Horowitz was 4-5 and Tony Garrett was 3-5 for Pit while Dave Auerbach was 2-4 with a homer and 3 RBI's for the Clams.
