Burrito Batters Bats were Bombing Extra Bases. The Burritos kept coming up all night, to the plate that is. Casey Nix(3-4) homered twice and Clay Petry's 6th inning bomb shut down a late rally by Angelo's which cut the lead to 7. Tito's had the Ribbies cooking early when Shaun Spielberger singled, Mark Davis(4-5) singled, Clay Petry cracked an RBI single before Casey Nix fired up 3 more RBI's with a homer, Kevin Petry makes it 5 hits in a row but no more runs score. Michael Angelo's gets one back when Dave Plishka walked, Bob Plishka walked and Brian Cass(3-3) ripped a single to center scoring David. Tito's is up 4-1 after 1. But those Burritos just don't quit. With one out Shaun Spielberger works a walk, and then 4 more straight hits by Mark Davis, Clay Petry, Casey Nix who kept it in the park with a 2 RBI double, and Kevin Petry who followed with an RBI double of his own. Burritos are up 8-1. They add two more in the 3rd after Temple Houston(3-4) singled and scored on a triple by Ryan Coletti who scored on the late arriving Paul Martino's single, Tito's is up 10-1 but it looks like Shaun Spielberger comes out of the lineup with maybe a hamstring injury, (not sure). Michael Angelo's finally comes to life after Brian Cass singled and Mike Citron followed with a single, Rich Citron singles to load the bases. Jeff Axelrad singled scoring two runs and an errand throw moves Rich and Jeff to 2nd and 3rd with no outs but they didn't want to test the arm of Clay Petry on a fly to right center and they fail to score. Tito's puts up two more in the 6th when Mark Davis tripled and Clay Petry hits a bomb to left. Tito's is up 13-3. Michael Angleo's finally rallies after Jared Citron reached on error, then David Plishka reached on error bringing up Jason Abfier who sacked in one run before Bob Plishka singled home David. Brian Cass doubled in the courts and then one of the stranger plays of the year happens next. With a 2 strikes Mike Citron pop a ball behind first that the first baseman was running back for an could have caught, but someone yelled "foul let it go" and the first baseman let it fall. The ball hits right on the chalk and rolled all the way to the tennis courts almost, scoring two more runs cutting the lead to 13-7. But Tito's pours on 4 more to in the top of the 7th before Angelo's rallies again in the 7th. Jeff Axelrad singled, Jon Mach blasted a deep double to right center, Ron Liebowitz singles off the fence in right and a great relay gets Jon trying to score. Dean Sottile rips a liner to center that skips past the outfielder's for a run scoring double. Dave Plishka doubles to right to score 2 more but it end there. The hot Burritos continue to bring their opponents heart burn as Michael Angelo's now needs to win their last game, then get some help to make the playoffs.
