Michael Angelo's Brews the Columbian 14-3. After the blockbuster trade and some jersey swapping the game started pretty slow. Michael Angelo's David singled, Brian Cass singled and the father of David, Bob Plishka(4-4) singled to load the bases but no runs hit the canvas. In the bottom Columbia's Rick Beyer doubled with two outs and Eamon Loughran steps in for his first at bat after the big trade. Eamon drills a single over third but Brian Cass cuts down Rick trying to score. Score tied 0-0. Michael Angelo's comes up empty in top of the 2nd. In bottom half Columbia Inn drilled home the games first two runs when David Drillings hit an inside the park homerun, then Jonathan Drillings singled and scored on a single by Kevin Zabransky. Columbia's leads 2-0. Angelo's loads the bases again in the 3rd when Don Rothrock singled, Dave Plishka walked and Brian Cass singled, but again they have nothing to show for it. Columbia also loads the bases in the bottom of the 3rd with two outs Jason Dickert singled, Mark Fedele singled and Gary Drillings singled, with a chance to smell the coffee, but they were decaffeinated with a fly out to right. Then comes the big inning for Angelo's. Bob Plishka leads off the 4th with a double, Jason Abfier singled to score Bob and Michael Angelo's is on the board. Jared Citron singled, Dean Sottile singled to load the bases for the ex-Columbian Abe Heller. Abe makes Columbia Inn pay with a big run scoring single, tying the game at 2 and switching the mojo to Angelo's. Cliff Berliner singled in another run but there was a very close play at third on Cliffs single to left. I don't know about that call. Jon Mach took advantage and sacked in a run, Don Rothrock does it again with another single bringing up the other ex-Columbian Keith Blicht. Keith also makes Columbia Inn pay with a looper over second to score another run and Michael Angelo's isn't done yet. Jeff Axelrad singled, Dave Plishka hit a sac fly, Brain Cass(4-4) singled, Mike Citron singled, Bob Plishka gets his 2nd hit of the inning and Michael Angelo's almost ties their season game high with 9 runs in one inning. Newly acquired Keith Blicht was stellar at first with several diving plays preventing any Columbia Inn runs. Angelo's add 5 more in the 7th when Mike Citron doubled in two and Bob Plishka homered for two more and get their first easy win of the season 14-3. But the play of the day goes to John Machiski who found a Kabab Paradise jersey in the shed and came out yelling "I've been traded". LOL.
