The Boys Are Back In Town. Mike and Brian Koonjy are back with a combined 9-10 and 12 RBI's in this 28-12 barnstorm over Harrigan's. It was a bad day for Ryan McDermott's teams as Columbia Inn also got pounded in the 10:30 game. Austin Tarlowe bats leadoff again for the first time since the 2017 playoffs and gets the Barn door swinging with a lead off single. Jim Halpin (5-5) got his first of 5 singles. After an out Len Tarnoff sacs in the first run and then some two out magic as Mike Koonjy singled to score another. Jake Tarnoff(4-5) doubled and Hadar singled in Mike to give the Barn a 3-0 lead. Harrigan's gets one back after Ralph Avallone reached on error and scored on a single by Brad Bennis. Red Barn starts tossing the manure after Chris Koonjy singled, Jeff Tarlowe reached on error, son Austin singled to score Chris, Jim Halpin singled scoring another, Brian Koonjy got his hits back with run scoring single and then brother Mike Koonjy and Jake Tarnoff combine for the seasons first back to back homers. Red barn is up 10-1. Harrigan's doesn't surrender easily as Tony Garrett singled to start the bottom of the 2nd. Rick DelGizzi singled, Mario Leitao walked, then with two outs Ralph Avallone singled, Joe Gianforte singled in a run and bam, Brad Bennis lifts Harrigans out of the manure with a 3 run dinger. Red Barn leads 10-7. After a boring 3rd the Barn closes the stable with 8 more runs. Jeff Tarlowe leads off with this first hit after coming off the disabled list. Austin reached on error, Jim Halpin stamps out another single, Brian Koonjy singled in two and Lenny Tarnoff, like son like father, rips a 3 run gamebuster over the left field fence. Mike Koonjy doubled, Jake singled, Hadar singled in Mike and Pat Russo rips a tripl and scored on a single by Chris Koonjy. Red Barn leads 18-7 and Harrigan's couldn't shovel themselves of this hole. It's all Red Barn from here as they end their 3 game losing streak with a much needed win.
