Harrigan's Runs Out Of Meat But Tito's Has Plenty of Bergers. As the Tito's Slogan goes "its all good", especially when you can win with only 10 hits. Harrigan's didn't fare much better as the "meat" of the order was just 2-12 and their top three batters, well, they did't get on base all game. Harrigan's still had plenty of opportunities to win as the next four batters, Ed Russnow, Tony Garrett, Brian Quinn and Rick DelGizzi were each (2-3), 8-12 combined and scored 4 of Harrigan's 5 runs. Tito's had the Berger's cooking in the 1st when Shaun Spielberger doubled to start the game, then after an error, John Spielberger doubled in two runs. Tito's is up 2-0. Harrigan's took the lead in the 2nd when Tony Garrett singled, Brian Quinn singled and Rick DelGizzi singled to score one. with two outs Dave Manheim singled in two runs but was gunned down trying to reach 2nd on the throw. Harrigans leads 3-0 and their defense held up well till the bottom of the 4th when the pepperoni fell off the pizza. John Spielberger led off the 5th with a liner to center, Paul Martino blooped one to short left, Kevin Petry riped a run scoring single up the middle. Then came the hit of the game, Casey Nix drove a deep liner to left center that Tony Garrett just about ran down, ball the ball just tips off his glove giving Tito's a 5-4 led. Then two errors did in Harrigan's as Tito's takes a 7-4 lead. They pickup another in the 5th after manager Ryan Coletti(2-3) singled, Clay Petry doubled and John Spielberger scored Ryan with an infield out. In the 7th, trailing by 4, Harrigan's has their hot bats coming up as Dave Schachman and Ed Russnow both single before Tony Garrett suprizes everyone with an opposite field shot that almost hits the fence in right, scoring Dave and moving Ed to 3rd. Now the tying run is at the plate but the next two batter make outs and then a baserunning blunder doubles up the runner at third, and the Burrito's are safe at the top of the standings with their 9th win. Ryan Coletti looked sharp again at short with some nice plays including one off the cup. You had to see it.
