It's Olde Towne 6-1 with Metz Out of Town. With Malachi Metz away on vacation (OK Mike was gone too) Olde Towne's Lee Kornbluh steps in and throws an 8 hit, 1 run gem, while Jon Weiner and Steve DeBlasio come through with some big hits. Olde Towne left the bases loaded in the first and the Station picks up one the bottom. Dave Richmond singled and a miss fielded ball at 1st could have been the start of a big inning. But a heads up play by Josh Simon guns down Dave as he tried to sneak into 3rd. Don Trifari singled and Jared Kruger singled to score the Stations 1st and only run. In the 3rd Olde Towne gets their big inning after Ralph Fariello singled with one out, John Weiner beats the shift and triples in the open left center gap to score Ralph. Then Steve DeBlasio connect with a high fly that look like Ralph Aiello was going to grab at the fence but it just carries over for a 2 run homerun. Josh Simon singled, Jason Davis singled, Brett Hartman singled and Chris Stappas gets a run home with a sac fly. Olde Towne is up 4-1. They pick up another on a Jon Weiner triple and Steve DeBlasio sac fly. Then a final run on a Barry Davis singled off the tip of the 3rd baseman's glove. Lee keep the Station bats in check all game, holding the bottom 7 of the Station's lineup to only 1 hit. With the win Olde Towne moves into 3rd place while the Station drops down to 5th with the loss. Is that Dave calling Mike to give him the news.
