The Game of the Weekend. Wet Willie's Manager Shawn Spielberger Snags his First Victory. Shawn's leaping grab was the play of the day in this back and forth battle. Wet Willie's rookie Jon Cocchio looked impressive at the plate putting two balls over the fence (first was foul) and scoring 5 times. Ryan Coletti made some key plays in the field and Willie's was leading 10-7 in the bottom of the 5th when RJ Leonard's 3 run shot put Triton up 11-10. Willies put up 4 more in the 6th when Ryan MacNamara(3-4) singled, Shawn Spielberger singled and Ryan Coletti doubled just off the glove of a diving Eric Rosenberg. Pat MacNamara used a delayed swing to single in another, Marshall Baines singled to put Willie's up by 3. Triton Rallied back again in the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs. Ira Robbins singled in one, Jigar Desal put Triton within one and Eric Rosenberg gave Triton the lead with a double down the right field line. Brad Botelho and Don Trifari both singled in runs and Triton takes a 2 run lead going into the top of the 7th. But Willie's short lineup keeps turning over and with one out Ryan MacNamara hit an infield single, Shawn Spielberger tripled to move the tying run to 3rd with a head first slide. Ryan Coletti tied it with a sac fly. Triton has a chance in the bottom of the 7th with the game tied. Willie's intentionally walks RJ Leonard and Triton fails to score. Willie's scores 3 in the top of the 8th on singles by Marshall Baines, and a big two out single by Adam Raiken to score the go ahead run. Ryan MacNamara singled in two more insurance runs and Willie's grabs their 1st win 19-16. There were a lot of fans watching this one.
