Triton's Derek Margiotta is Leqqett with 2 homer, 9 RBI game. After the first two games were cancelled the grounds crew had the field in great shape for the 12:00 game. Triton took advantages of some soggy fielding plays and put up a run in the first inning on a Fielder's Choice. Leqqett's got off to a slow start and didn't pickup their first hit till the 3rd inning. In the 3rd leading 1-0, Mug Naveendra singled to get things started for Triton. Brad Botelho singled and with two outs a wet ball kept the inning alive for Triton. With bases loaded Derek Margiotta singled in two runs and Vince Wolleon pushed another accross with a single. Triton leads 4-0. In the 5th Eric Rosenberg singled, Brad Botelho singled and Derek Margiotta picks up his 1st homer of the season. RJ Leonard homers and Triton is up 9-0. Leqqett's Joe Giordano leads off with a double, moves to 3rd on a Jim Halpin single and scores on a Fielder's choice. Triton leads 9-1. Triton goes claming for more in the 6th when Mark Armelino singled, Sammer Sawe singled, Eric Rosenberg (3-4) collected his 3rd single to load the bases. One runs scores on a Fielder's Choice and bam, Derek Margiotta slams another out for 3 more Triton runs. Just when it looked like the game was out of reach, Leqqett's comes out of the sand for 8 runs. Austin Tarlowe works a lead off walk then father Jeff singled, Danny Giordano singled, Rob Gulbert singled and Dylan Tarlowe shells the Oyster's with a grand slam. Jim Halpin singled, John Petrozzino singled and after an error, Austin Tarlowe bats again and singled, Jeff Tarlowe walked, Danny Giordano singled again and Leqqett's is right back in it, 13-9. Triton fails to score in the top of the 7th and Leqqett's gets a gapper in right from their lead-off batter. But Triton's Vince Wolleon guns down the runner trying to stretch a single into a double, a big 1st out. The next batter flys out and its two out and nobody on but wait, it's not over yet. Joe Giordano singled, Jim Halpin works a walk and an error puts the tying run at the plate for Leqqett's. But a comebacker to the pitcher ends the threat and Triton evens its record to 3-3 with a 13-9 win. Triton's Eric Rosenberg, Derek Margiotta and Vince Wolleon each had 3 hits. Rob Guibert was 3-4 for Leqqett's.
