Jason Dickert Leads the Pony over Rooney's in 7-3 Win. Rooney's was missing their Rookie infield and one bad inning did them in. Tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the 4th Bruce Dostal got things started for the Pony with a single between 1st and 2nd. Frank Coppola doubled and then the big play. Rich Heim hit a high pop behind third that was lost in the shade and a run scored. The next batter lined out to short and what would have been the 3rd out became a sac fly by Mike Sabat. Then Jason Dickert comes through with an RBI single (his second big hit of the game). That's 3 runs Stone Pony would not have scored and it was enough to get them the win and move up to the 6th spot in the standings, knocking Maynard's to 7th. Frank Coppola and Bruce Dostal were both 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Brian Godau was 2-3. For Rooney's it was Tony Garrett who led his team going 3-4 on the day.
