Al Who? The Irish Pub slays Stone Pony on Friday the 13th costume night. It was too hot to wear those Jason hockey masks but at least there was dry ice and cold beverages for Stone Pony. However the only thing scary tonight was the middle of the Irish Pub lineup; David Drillings(3-4), Rick Beyer and Keith Blicht(4-4) who combined for 9 hits and 9 RBI's included a homer, triple and 2 doubles. David Drillings had a solo shot in the 1st inning and with the game tied 2-2 in the 4th he put the Pub up for good with a 2 run double deep into the courts. Rick Beyer followed with a 2 run triple and the Irish Pub was up 6-2. Keith Blicht singled in another and Marty Eagen and Gary Drillings each sacked in runs. The Irish Pub put up 8 runs in the 4th and never looked back. Jonathan Drillings was pitching tonight for the Irish and look great in his debut. He only gave up 13 hits and just 4 runs and the Irish were all chanting Al who. The Stony Pony manager Rich Heim kept his hitting streak going. He is now batting a mere 900 over his last 3 games with 2 deep doubles tonight.
