Leqqett's Edge the Headliner's in 10 Innings. The Headliner's just can't get a break this season. In this game they had runners on 1st and third and only one out in the bottom of the 10th, trailing by 1 with their fastest player up. Find out what happened next. Leqqett's jumped out to an early 5-1 lead on some great hitting by the top of their lineup. Dylan Tarlowe, Joe Giordano and Jim Halpin each had 2 hits in the first two innings, plating 5 runs. The Headliner's picked up one run in the 1st on a single by Mike Metz and are trailing 5-1 after 2. They get 3 more in the 3rd on two walks and a singles by Lou Coppa and Mike Metz to cut the lead to one 5-4. Leqqett's top of the order starts the 4th and Jason Davis singles followed by his dad Barry who reached on an error. Dylan Tarlowe advanced the runners on a deep fly and Joe Giordano hit a sac fly. Rob Guibert singled in a 2nd run and they are up 7-4. They add another in the 6th and now the Headliner's are down 4 in the bottom of the 6th 8-4 with the top of the lineup due up. They get 4 straight singles by John Boeckel, David Plishka, Lou Coppa and Mike Metz. Bob Plishka hits a sac fly and they are down 1, 8-7. Leqqett's goes down 1,2,3 so it's the bottom of the 7th and Malachi Metz leads the inning off with a triple to right center. Now it's the bottom of the 10th, down by 1, the Headliner's get a big one out double by Ken O'Brien. John Boeckel follows with a single and it's 1st and 3rd, one out. Then the unthinkable happens, their fastest runner hits a single up the middle but shortstop Rob Guibert is cheating towards 2nd. He fields the ball near the bag, steps on 2nd and guns to first for the game ending double play. Leqqett's gets another big win, 9-8
