Jon Mach and Dave Schachman Combine For 0 Earned Runs and D'Jais Won't be Spinning any More Records this Season. Parker House put up 17 big runs but the big story in this game was Jon Mach and the Parker defense, holding D'Jais to just 5 hits! The most feared lineup in the league this season didn't play many records in this one after scoring 16 runs against BAR A on Saturday. But that's been the story with D'Jais all season and unfortunately they had one of their worst hitting and fielding games of the season tonight. Three of D'Jais players are on the fast pitch team and they had a big 16-15 nailbitter win against a big rival early this morning. Brad Bennis doubled just a few inches off the top of the fence in the 2nd but D'Jais only managed 1 hit through the first 5 innings. Meanwhile Parker House, batting 13 guys, were driving in runs every inning. In a lineup change, Rob Thomas bats Jason Abfier leadoff, and the move paid off as Jason singled. The next batter strikes out looking, but Dave Schachman(3-4) singled and with two outs, rookie Derek Lynn comes through with a big 3 run homer. In the 2nd D'Jais couldn't get Brad Bennis home after he led off with a double. Then another Parker House batter strikes out, but they still put up runs. Mr. September, Rob Thomas(3-3) laced a 2 out single up the middle and Jon Mach(3-3) followed with single to bring up Jim Watkins with 1st and 2nd, two outs. Jim rips a line single to left to load the bases. Now this is the play that I think did D'Jais in. Jason Benson hits a short liner to left and somehow the ball falls out of the left fielder's glove. That allowed both Rob Thomas and Jon Mach to score and Parker house was up 5-0 while D'Jais were shaking their heads. Parker House expands their lead when Dave Schachman hit one of his patented drop shots right on the right field line to lead off the 3rd. Again with two outs Parker House gets their big hits. Derek Lynn singled and Len Tarnoff(3-4) who you can make a case for team MVP, got another big 2 out hit, a double that scored to more big runs. Matt Eisenberg singled in a 3rd and Parker House is up 8-0 after 3. At that point you could see that D'Jais was done. In the 5th Parker House puts up 6 more runs on 3 D'Jais errors and 5 hits. The big one a Rob Thomas two out, two run double. What a day for Jon Mach who pitched a 1 hitter and went 3-3 at the plate. The finals is all set for Saturday at 9 and 11, be sure to stop by or watch the PPV, it should be a great battle.
