Johnny Cakes Gets Frosted by La Kosher Nostra 15-8. Crazy finishes this Sunday night. This game found LKN trailing by 3 (8-5) in the top of the 7th. Clay Petry was the bomb for Johnny Cakes tonight with two homeruns and an intentional walk in his last atbat. But for the 2nd straight game now, Johnny Cakes falls flat in the 7th after leading most of the game. Greg Kohn(2-3, 4 RBIs) was the name to remember in this one. He started and finished the 7th for LKN. He walked to start inning and with one out Patrick McNamara gapped a double into right center to give LKN some life. Brian Cass(2-3) followed that with another double to right and almost got nailed at second for not husting. So Brian becomes the tying run and moved to 3rd on a single by Derek Margiotta(3-4). Rookie Max Metz put LKN ahead with a rip to left and Jay Glickson singled to put them up 2. With 2 outs Patty Mac comes up with a big single to right, and two more runs scored. Mike Metz(1-1) was walked for his 3 time in this game. Greg Auerbach singled and Ken Horan walked in a run with the bases loaded. Then came the shot of the inning. With LKN up by 4, Greg Kohn blasted a double way over the shallow outfielder's head in left center. LKN takes a 7 run lead into the bottom of the 7th and Johnny Cakes went down 1,2,3 and LKN earns their first win of the season.
