Game Highlights

Rail Riders Break Out in the 4th with 7 Runs to Spur the Cowboys 15-8. The top of the Rail Riders lineup was an amazing 13-15 with 11 RBIs. VIctor Cardona led the pack with a 4-4 game including a big 4th inning homer that gave the Riders the cushion they needed. With the Riders up 5-4 in the 4th, Ron Liebowitz(3-4) dropped a ball over the 2nd baseman's head. Mark Fedele singled and Mike Lawlor singled to load the bases. Then with one out, oh no, Jim Watkins walks in a run. Kay Klele(3-3) sacked in the 2nd run. With 2 outs Don Trifari(3-4) singled in the 3rd run and Jared Kuropatkin(3-4) singled in run #4. Then Bam!, Victor Cardona blasts a 3 run homer to left center. The Riders go up 12-4. The Cowboys get two back in the bottom after sub RJ Lenard singled and scored on a 2 out homer by Mark Spoto(3-4). 12-6 Riders after 4. In the bottom of the 5th the Cowboys get their first 3 batters on with singles, Alec Vigil, Mark Spoto and Steven Horowitz who scored Alex. It looked like the Cowboys were going to have a big inning. But a fly out to 2nd and double play held the Cowboys to just one and the Rail Riders hang on 15-8. The win evens the Rail Riders record to 8-8 and they still have a shot for the playoffs with 4 games remaining. 2 games vs Macon, Trash Pandas and Ghost Pirates.
