Groomed for a Win. Lusty Leopard Clay Petry was sporting a new trim and sparked the Leopards to a 4 run first inning leading off with a double. Keith Blicht sent the next ball into the courts to score Clay, Nick Adams kept it in the park with a single and Brad Bennis launched a 3 run home run to spot the Leopards 4 runs. The Beagles were treated to one run in the top of the 2nd when Dennis O'Dowd and Brett Hartman single and Josh Simon singled in a run. The Leopards spot two more in the third when the more aerodynamic Clay Petry walked and scored on a Nick Adams double, Brad Bennis was walked and Dave Schachman singled in Nick. Leopards lead 6-1. The Beagles nip back with one in the 4th when Brett Hartman doubled, Jeff Axelrad singled and Josh Simon picks up another RBI single. In the 5th the Beagle tie the game when Ron Liebowitz leads off with a double, Frank Chiccariello singles, Lou Coppa singles and with two outs Mike Metz homers, tying the game 6-6. Lusty picks up two more in the 6th off singles by Keith Blicht, another walk to Brad Bennis and another big RBI's single by Dave Schachman. Kevin Petry sacs in run number two and Lusty leads 8-6. The Beagles threaten in the top of the 7th when Ron Liebowitz leads off with a single and Dave Richmond gets on by error but they can't get Mike Metz up as the next batter flys out to end the game.
