Ring Around the Rosey.. Eric "Rosey" Rosenberg wasn't exactly having his best day at the plate, but when he got up with bases loaded, two outs in the top of the 8th, with the game on the line, none of that mattered. The game was back and forth with the Playaz jumping out to an early 3-2 lead. In the 1st with two outs, Alex Conklin blooped in a double and scored on a double by Don Trifari. John Spielberger singled and Barry Davis singled in Don. Then Ralph Aiello singled in John for a 3-0 lead. Peach Pit answered with two runs of their own also after the first two batters made outs. Jason Crimmins singled, Brian Koonjy singled, Brian Kelly singled in Jason and Mike Amoia singled in Brian. Playaz lead 3-2. In the Bottom of the 3rd Peach Pit ties it when Jason Crimmins singled, Brian Koonjy singled and Brian Kelly singled in Jason. Game remained tie till the bottom of the 5th when Jason Crimmins doubled and Brian Koonjy lifted on over the left corner of the tennis court fense, into that back corner of the lower fence where Barry Davis almost makes an incredible catch but it hit off the top of his glove and over the fence for a home run. Peach Pit leads 5-3. In the 6th it was all Spielberger. Shawn Spielberger singled followed by Jake Spielberger's single, after an out Alex Conklin doubled in one and Don Trifari walked to load the bases, John Spielberger singled in the tying and go ahead run: Playaz lead 6-5. Lots of drama in the bottom when Ken Crimmins singled, Mike Koonjy singled, and an error let one run score, then a walk to Jason Crimmins loaded the bases. The next batter grounded to the pitcher who throws home and Mike Johnson makes a great catch to nip the runner (so says the ump) and the next player flys out to send the game to extra innings. In the top of the 8th the hot Brad Botelho(3-3) singled and Jim Laden singles, then there were two out and Jake Spielberger beat out an infield single bringing up Rosey with two outs and Eric delivers a single that some how allowed all three runners to round the bases for 3 big runs. Don Trifari knocked in Rosey and the Playaz take a 10-6 lead. With two outs Peach Pit ralleys after an error, single by Jason Crimmins(4-4), Triple by Brian Koonjy(4-5) and single by Brian Kelly bring Peach Pit within 1 10-9. Mike Amoia singles to move the tying run to second but the next batter hit what looked like a game tying single to left, but the crafty John Spielberger dives to make a great, game saving catch. Playaz escape the Pit 10-9.
