Dostal is Back and Alibi is Seeing Doubles. The Martini's end their two game losing streak with Bruce Dostal back on the mound and in the lineup. Alibi Room jumped out to a 7-2 lead but in the 4th the Martini's rally. Frank Coppola got things started with a single, then after an out Alibi walks Chris Stappas and Pat Russo to load the bases. Jared Bruno hits a grounder down third and a bad throw home allows one runner to score. Brian Godau singles in the next run, John Sanzone singled in another and the Martini's are down by 2. Then Bruce Dostal(3-4) steps into the box with the bases loaded and comes thru with a game tying double, his first double of the night and it was a big one; game tied 7-7. Frank McNally(3-3) followed with a two run single giving the Martini's their first lead, Bob Fass singled in another and the Martini's are up 10-7. The Martini's defense was solid with Alex Fass chasing down Jeff Brooks deep shot to right center keeping Alibi scoreless in the bottom of the 5th. In the top of the 6th the Martini's get another run. With 2 outs Bruce Dostal hits his 2nd double, this time racing around the bases and sliding into second (he must have stayed at a Holiday Inn). Frank McNally singled to score Bruce for his 5th RBI of the night. In the bottom of the 6th Alibi hits three straight line drives right at the Martini's infielders. Alex Fass led off the top of the 7th with a single, tagged up on Frank Coppola's fly ball (did he leave early?), then with two outs Chris Stappas rips a bullet to left center, Brian Cass fields it and throws a one hopper home which looked like it was gonna nip Alex, but Alibi can't hold on. Pat Russo walks again and Jared Bruno hits a run scoring single to put the Martini's up 13-7. Alibi's Alex Lieberman leads off the 7th with a single, Mike Citron singles to right, Brian Cass singles scoring Alex. Then Jeff Brooks rips a hard shot down the line in left but John Sanzone races over to make a nice catch. Then Adam Steckelman drills a line drive right at Bruce Dostal's gut that Bruce was able to stab but the force knocked him over. An error loads the bases but the last batter popped up behind third and Brian Godau slid over to make the catch. Martin's come back to win 13-8. Jared Citron was 3-4 for Alibi and Bruce Dostal and Frank McNally both had 3 hits for the Martini's.
