Bornstein Misses a Game as The Bricks Fall to Michael Angelo's 10-3. Jon Mach kept the hot Brick bats in check all day, holding the top 4 Brick batters to just two hits and 0 runs. The Angelo D was strong too allowing only one error while turning two key double plays. Michael Angelo's got on the canvas early with three straight singles by Rich Citron, Brian Cass, Dave Plishka, then an Bob Plishka painted an opposite field double right on the line (well he really had a singled first, but the ump had called time so Bob had to bat twice). Eamon Lougham finished the scoring with his first of 4 singles on the day and Angelo's chisels out a 4-0 lead. Brick managed to score once in the 2nd when rookie Ryan Olohan, in his first LVC atbat, cracks a triple to deep left center, then scores on a single by Jon Boeckel. Brick didn't plate another run till the bottom of the 7th when Matt Eisenberg tripled and Ken O'Brien singled him in. For Michael Angelo's Rich Citron, Brian Cass, Dave Plishka, and Bob Plishka all had 3 hits while the hot Eamon Loughran was 4-4. In the 6th a scary accidental collision at second when Brian Cass stretched out a double and elbowed Jay Glickson in the side of the head, Jay got up but left the game with a sore neck. For Brick 46 rookies Ryan Olohan and Matt Goodstein were both 2-3.
