Tito's Runs All Over the Station in 13-9 Win. Tito's gets their third straight win, this time with Clay Petry on the mound. The Station jumps out to a quick 5-0 lead, but a sloppy 2nd inning with 3 errors opens the door for a Burrito comeback. Jim Morris and Ralph Aiello single and Donnie Trifari hits a high fly that skims off the fence for a single to load the bases. Don Sr walks, scoring a run, Marty Eagan sacked in a run and Jared Kruger hits one off the shortstops glove to score another. Dave Richmond singles and Andy Reiser gets on by error and The Station is up 5-0. In the bottom Tito's picks up one but an excellent play by Andy Reiser at second, saves a big inning. In the second Mike Levine doubles down the right field line (yes, opposite way), gets to third on a single by Ralph Aiello, but Adam Handler makes a great play at first to stop Don Jr's line drive to end the inning. In the bottom of the 2nd Tito's runs up the score. After an out Jason Benson singles just past short and Adam Handler gets an infield hit. The Stations has a shot at a double play but the ball is dropped and all runners are safe. Ryan Coletti takes advantage and singles in a run, then another Station error on a possible double play scores another run, Mark Davis singles in two more runs, John Spielberger singles in another as does Clay Petry before a double play ends the inning. But the damage was done and Tito's was up 7-5. The sloppiness continued for both teams and Tito's pulls away with 3 runs in the 6th to take a 13-9 lead. The Station loads the bases in the 7th but doesn't score and Tito's is now 3-0 and in sole possession of 1st place. John Spielberger was 3-3 with 5 RBI's, Ryan Coletti 3-3,while Shaun Spielberger and Mark Davis were both 3-4 for Tito's. Ralph Aiello was 3-4 for the Station and Marty Eagan, Jared Kruger, Steve Horowitz and Mike Levine were all 2-3.
