The Station Closes Down the Inn 21-6 Jared Kruger's diving catch in top the 1st inning fired up the engine and the Station chugged away with 11 1st inning runs. Columbia took a one run lead to start the game when David Drillings singled and scored on a single by Keith Blicht. The Station's big 1st inning started with one out after Ralph Aiello reached on error, Don Jr followed with a single moving Ralph to 3rd. Don Sr singled in Ralph, then another costly Columbia Inn error and the Station makes them pay the full fare, stamping out 7 straights hits by Andy Reiser(3-4), Jared Kruger(3-4), Mike Levine(3-4), Larry Friedman, Jim Morris, Ralph Aiello and Don Jr costing Columbia 9 tokens. Don Sr hit a sac fly that was dropped allowing Marty Eagan to follow that with a sac fly and The Station, playing with only 9, takes a big 11-1 lead after 1. They add 4 in the 2nd when Don Jr homered. In the bottom of the 5th the Station was up 18-6 the game ended quickly when Don Jr's bases loaded single off the fence scores all three runner to mercy Columbia Inn 21-6. For Columbia Inn Keith Blicht was 3-3, Gary Drillings was 2-2 while David Drillings and Mike Cobuzio were both 2-3. For the Station Don Jr was 4-4 with a homerun, Andy Reiser stayed hot going 3-4, Jared Kruger and Mike Levine were also 3-4 and Ralph Aiello was on base every time with 2 hits, a walk and two OBE's.
