Harrigan's Specialty This Week is Hitting. Harrigan's top of the order was feasting on Brick 46 all game, combining for 13 hits in 15 atbats and plating 10 runs. After last nights down pour without the tarp many doubted that this game would even be played. But Commissioner Puleo's preseason field work showcased itself as the field was in almost perfect condition and the game started on schedule. Brick got off to a strong start putting up 4 in the top of the 1st when Dave Reiss and Ryan Smith both singled and scored on a single by rookie Ryan Olohan(3-4). Dave Bornstein singled and with two outs Ken O'Brien singled to score Ryan and Seth Friedman singled scoring Dave. But Harrigan's was not intimidated by the size of Brick's oven and Ralph Avallone(4-4) and Joe Gianforte got them cooking with two singles. Brad Bennis was walked on 4 pitches bringing up their RBI leader Dave Schachman who burned Brick with a double in the gap scoring two. Alex Lieberman sacked in a run and Ed Russnow put in the same order with a sac of his own. Score tied 4-4. Brick managed another run in the 2nd when John Boeckel tripled and scored on a single by Dave Reiss, but that was it. Harrrigan's didn't score in the bottom so Brick is up 5-4. Brick doesn't score in the third, leaving the oven door open for Harrigans, who grilled them for 5 runs in the 3rd and 4 runs in the 4th and taking a 16- 7 lead into the 7th. Brick's rookie Ryan Olohan homered, Ken O'Brien doubled and Seth Friedman also homered scoring 3 but the that was all as Harrigan's hangs on the win this one 16-10. Ralph Avallone, Joe Gianforte, Brad Bennis and Dave Schachman combined for 13 of Harrigan's 25 hits and Harrigan's pulls into 1st place in the standings.
