Rail's Gets on the Fass Track to a 9-3 Win. Bob and Alex Fass combine for two late inning homeruns to topple the Bricks. Rail's steams ahead in the bottom of the 1st, with two outs after Bruce Dostal singled, Bob Fass (3-3) singled and Jared Bruno drives them both in with a clutch double down the left field line. Brick comes back with one in the 2nd when Ken O'Brien singled, Mike Carver singled and with two outs Mike Cafaro singled scoring Ken. Rails is up 2-1. Neither teams scored again till the bottom of the 4th when Rails gets a lead off triple by Bob Fass who scores on Jared Bruno's sac fly. With one out Christian Hansen singled, Frank Coppola singled then with two outs Chris Capobianco singled to score Christian. Rails leads 4-1. The Bricks get fired up in the 5th when Jay Glickson leads off with a single, Ryan Smith doubles scoring Jay, Ryan Olohan singled and Lou Coppa singled in Ryan to cut the lead to 4-3 Rails. Just when Brick thought they had the momentum, the Fass family blows their house down (ok so that was from the last write up). With two outs in the bottom of the 5th, John Sanzone is on second after a double, then Bob Fass delivers the first blow, a two run shot to left and Rails expands their lead to 6-3. In the bottom of the 6th with Brick still staggering, Alex Fass does his dad one better and topples the Bricks with a 3 run homerun to left. There wasn't many hits in this one, just 11 for Brick and 12 for Rails. Bob Fass was 3-3 for Rails and Christian Hansen was the only other Rails batter with more than one hit. For Brick Ryan Smith, Lou Coppa and Ken O'Brien each had two hits.
