John Spielberger Steals the Show in Tito's 9-7 Win. John is officially changing his last name to "Steal"-berger after robbing Puleo's Brick Oven of 3 homeruns in this battle for 1st place. Neither team scored in the 1st but Puleo's got close when Mark Spotto hit a deep ball to left that John Spielberger jumps up at the fence to snag. In the bottom of the 2nd Joe Giordano singled and Al Puleo doubled. Joe scores on an OBE by Joel Orris, Puleo's is up 1-0. Tito's Jerry Fragetti's infield single and Jeff Shupack's on by error setup Shaun Spielberger to tie the game with a single. Puleo's doesn't score in the bottom and Tito's grabs the lead in the 4th when Mark Davis singled and John Spielberger doubled him home. Tito's 2-1. Puleo's pulls ahead in the 5th when Vince Wolleon leads off with a walk, Adam Steckelman singled, Dave Kaiser singled, then with one out Chuck Puleo singled to tie the game, Eric Rosenberg singled to give Puleo's back the lead, Mark Spotto sacs in a third run, then John Steal-berger does it again, this time robbing Joe Giordano of a 3 run homer that could have changed the game. Tito's rallys after that catch to score 7 when Jeff Shupack led off with a walk and with one out here it all comes. Mark Davis singled, Clay Petry doubled in two, John Spielberger hits his second double scoring two more, Paul Martino singled in one then an error and two singles later Adam Handler sacks in the 7th run. Tito's is up 9-4 and holds on to win 9-7 to retain sole possession of 1st place. John Spielberger finished with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's to go along with his 3 HR steals.
