At Tito’s Burritos & Wings, our slogan is, “It’s all good" Like the slogan says, "It is all good" after a big 7 run 4th inning helps Tito's skate past Red Barn 12-7. Tito's took an early lead when Shaun Spielberger led off with a single and after a double play on two of the fastest runners in the league, Clay Petry gets it rolling again with a two out single. The "hot" John Spielberger(3-3) singled and Paul Martino's single platted the games first run. Kevin Petry singled in another in it's 2-0 Tito's till the 3rd inning. Rob Thomas singles and with one out Chris Koonjy follows with a single of his own. Then with two out Austin Tarlowe blasts his 2nd double of the game, this one a deep shot almost landing in the 2nd court. Rob Thomas scored for Red Barn and Tito's lead is cut in half, 2-1. Tito's goes down 1,2,3 leaving the Barn Door open in the 4th, but the heart of the order does't have the gas. Now comes Tito's time, they always have that one big inning and today it was the bottom of the 4th with the new ball. Mark Davis leads off with a single, Clay doubles to right, John Spielberger singled in two, Paul Martino singled, Kevin Petry loads the bases with a single and Nick Agnoli singles scoring John. Then Jason Hamberger delivers the big burrito, a double knocking home two more. Jason Benson joins the party with a run producing single and the 7th run coming off an error. Tito's is up 9-1. Then comes the controversy, Rob Thomas leads off the 5th with an on by error and Chris Koonjy drills a line drive to left. John "Steal"-berger runs in an makes a shoe string catch and rolls causing the umpire to wait to establish possession before he made an out call. The runner was confused because of the delayed call and gets doubled up at second with the top of the order due up for Red Barn. After some barnyard chatter at the pitchers mound with both umpires they ruled a double play and Red Barn fails to score. Tito's rallies for 3 more when Mark Davis starts it again with another single, Clay singles up the middle, John Stealberger goes opposite with line drive to right scoring Mark, Paul Martino scores Clay with a single and a wild throw sends John home as well. Tito's is up 12-1. The Barn finally stops horsing around and Jim Halpin gets back in the saddle with his first single of the night. After an out Nick Adams follows with a single before Len Tarnoff knocks one over the cupola for a home run. Hadar singles and with two outs Rob Thomas singled before the hottest Koonjy, Chris gets his second single of the game to score Hadar. Then Jake Tarnoff tries to match his dad shot with a deep blast to right center that a running Clay Petry almost catches up with but his finger gets in the way. Jake ends up with a triple and the Barn is back in it, 12-7. Titos can't score in the 7th so Red Barn has a shot, down only 5. But Paul Martino zones in and gets the meat of the lineup out 1,2,3. Tito's is smiling again with it's 7th win of the season. Hopefully Clay's finger will be alright.
