Olde Towne Deli is Now Serving Weiners. Jon Weiner was the hot dog on the Olde Towne menu today as he came loaded with 6 straight hits including a double, triple and 7 RBI's, hold the sauerkraut. Olde Towne served up 31 hits including 2 homers while batting around in almost every inning and they did it against the league's lowest ERA pitcher (who's name will be withheld for medical purposes). Michael Angelo's didn't have a bad hitting day either as they chiseled out 16 runs on 21 hits included a double in the courts by Ron Liebowitz (which could almost qualify as the main headline in itself). Olde Towne delivered early as Greg George singled, Jon Weiner doubled in Greg, Mike Metz(3-4) walked and Steve DeBlasio doubled scoring Jon. Josh Simon singled in Mike and the other dog Pete DeFrank also singled in a run (no Bun intended). Olde Towne leads 4-0 but Michael Angelo's is coming off a hot streak and they respond with 7 runs after Jeff Axelrad(4-4) singled, David reached on error, Bob Plishka walked, Keith Blicht singled in two runs, Rich Citron sacked in run #3, Brian Cass singled, Abe Heller singled in run #4, Jared Citron singled in run #5, Ron Liebowitz's prayers are finally answered as he singles in run #6. Dean Sottile sacs in run #7. Michael Angelo's is up 7-4. But Olde Towne came to play today and delivered 5 mores runs in the 2, 6 runs in the 3rd capped with a 3 run homer by Steve DeBlasio.
