Puleo's Brick Oven is Wolleon on a River with 11-8 Rain Shorten Victory. Vince Wolleon, Dave Kaiser and Joel Orris combine for 8 hits as Puleo's bottom of the order lifts Puleo's out of the storm. Neither team scored a run in the 1st inning. In the second Christian Hansen(3-3 career night) singled followed by an Alex Fass single, then with one out Rich Heim puts Rail's on track with a single to score Christian. Puleo's takes advantage of two Rail's miscues, the second error allows a run to score and moves Ryan Goodrich to 2nd. With two outs Puleo's gets rolling on a Vince Wolleon(3-3) triple. Dave Kaiser(3-3) singles to score Vince and Puleo's leads 3-1. Rail's is derailed in the 3rd going down 1,2,3 while Puleo's keeps on Wolleon after Chuck Puleo leads off with a walk, Mark Spotto singled and Al Puleo comes through with a two out 2 run single to right. Puleo's leads 5-1. Rail's gets back on track in the 4th after John Sanzone tripled, Bob Fass singled, Jared Bruno singled then the whistle blows for Christian Hansen who drives one over the fence in left for a 3 run homer to tie the game at 5 a piece. Alex Fass gets things started again with a single and a throwing error moves him to 3rd. Then Frank Coppola brings home Alex with a sac fly and Rail's is up 6-5. It's gotta be getting pretty dark by now with the storm coming in so Adam Steckelman wastes no time getting Puleo's started with a lead off walk. Joel Orris singled up the middle and Puleo's is Wolleon again when Vince Wolleon singles to load the bases. Dave Kaiser was on a roll too, (no bun intended) as he dishes out his second run scoring single to right, Cliff Neukrug gets another run home on a fielder's choice, then with two outs Eric Rosenberg singles to right center but Dave Kaiser never makes it to the plate as he gets gunned down at home. But Puleo's is back on top 7-6. Rail's doesn't score in the 5 and Puleo's add another after joe Giordano tripled and scored on a sac fly by RJ Leonard. Puleo's is up two 8-6 and there's not much time left for Rail's. It looks like this might be Rail's last chance to score before the rain comes and Bob Fass delivers a single with one out. Then Rail's gets another big shot from Christian Hansen who ties it with his second homer of the night. 8-8. Adam Steckelman singled to start the bottom of the 6th, Joel Orris comes through with his second single of the night and Vince Wolleon stays on his roll with a single to load the bases. Dave Kaiser comes up clutch again with a run scoring single, Cliff Neukrug singles in another and a third run scores on Eric Rosenberg's fielder's choice. Puleo's is up by 3 before the river comes and the ends the game. Puleo's takes it 11-8 now lets get out of here. What a great night for Dave Kaiser who was 3-3 with 3 RBI's including the game winner and Christian Hansen with two homers and 5 RBI's for Rail's.
