Fass vs Cass: A. Fass Goes Boom But Cass Spells Gloom. Alex Fass was showing off the beef with his two deep homeruns, but Brian Cass's 5 RBI's took the sizzle out of Rail's as Michael Angelo's leaves the table with a 12-9 victory. Rail's Brian Godau(3-3) singled to start the game and son Kyle(3-4) followed in his father's footsteps. Bruce Dostal singled and both runs scored. Rail's leads 2-0. Michael Angelo's lead off father son combo gets things rolling as David Plishka worked a lead off walk, and father Bob reached on error. Keith Blicht sacked in David, Brian Cass(3-3) sacked in Bob and we are all tied at 2. Alex Fass bombs a lead off solo shot in the 2nd, Rail's is up 3-2. Bot 2nd: John Mach triples in the right center gap, Jared Citron singles so Jon can get some oxygen, Cliff Berliner singled, David doubled to score Jared, Bob Plishka singled in two more, Keith Blicht doubled in the courts and Brian Cass singled in another run, Angelo's is up 7-3. No scores in the 3rd. Bot 4th: Rich Citron singled, Bob Plishka gets another OBE, when with two outs Brian Cass burns the steaks with a two run double to center. Angelo's is up 9-3. Rail's gets one back in the 5th when Michael Bedell singled and scored on a triple by Brian Godau, Angelo's 9 Rail's 4. Angelo's doesn't score in the bottom, leaving speakeasy door open for Rail's to start the 6th. Trailing by 6 Bruce Dostal proves he's still worthy of the patch with a homer to right center. Bob Fass singled, Jared Bruno singled, Christian Hansen knock in a run with a fielder's choice and with two outs, Bam Alex Fass hits another bomb to pull Rail's within 1 9-8. But Angelo's top of the order answers the call when David singled, Bob Plishka singled, Keith Blicht doubled in a run and Brian Cass singled in another, Mike Citron cashes in on his 4th single of the day for another run, Jason Abfier singled and then a strange double play from 2nd to home to get Brian Cass at the plate. Angelo's takes a 12-8 lead into the final inning. Rail's Chris Capobianco tripled to start the inning and scored on a sac fly by Brian Godau but that's all the run and Michael Angelo's picks up a much need victory 12-9.
