Alex Fass's Two Shots in the 5th Run Brick Off the Tracks. Trailing by 2 in the 5th, Alex Fass strikes for 2 big homeruns and Rail's rallies for 9 to topple the Brick wall. Pat McNamara walked to start the game, John Sanzone singled and Bruce Dostal singled home the first run. Bob Fass singled in another and a third scored on a fielder's choice from Christian Hansen. Rail's was playing with 9 and Brick took advantage of those outfield gaps. Jay Glickson doubled for Brick in the bottom and Ryan Smith hits a 2 run homerun to right center. Rail's is up 3-2. Rail's come up empty in the 2nd and Brick grabs the lead after Seth Friedman tripled in the gap, Matt Eisenberg singled to tie the game, then with two outs Dave Reiss tripled in another run. Brick is up 4-3. Rail's can't score in the 3rd and Brick's John Boeckel leads the bottom with a single, then again with two outs Ryan Olohan singles to score John, Mike Cafaro singled and Lou Coppa gets a big 2 out 2 run single. Brick takes a 7-3 lead. After an error and a walk to start the top of the 4th, sub Clay Petry singled to load the bases, Pat McNamara walked in a run, John Sanzone sacked in another, the next run scored on a fielder's choice and Bob Fass drives home a 4th run with a single. Rail's ties it 7-7 with only two hits in the inning. Brick grabs the lead back, finding the gap in left center John Boeckel and Jay Glickson both triple, and Ryan Olohan singles. Brick is up 2 9-7 but Alex Fass was going to change the momentum quickly. He leads the 5th off with a solo blast to deep right center that wakes the Rail's bats as they only had 6 hits prior. They respond with 8 hits in the inning. Alex started the scoring with a homer and then he finished it with another 3 run homer and Rail's goes on to win 18-12.
