Headliner's Finally Make the Headlines in 28-11 Rout of Parker House. In the ugliest 1st inning of the year Parker House throws the game away, literally. From the first batter who grounded back to the pitcher who threw the ball 10 feet over the 1st baseman's head, it just kept getting worse. Meanwhile the Headliner's were starting to hit all the gaps and ripped liner after liner up the middle. Bob Vogt was especially hot for the Headliner's hitting gap after gap through the infield. He even hit the gap between the pitcher and the catcher and ended with 5 RBI's as well. As bad as Parker House was playing there was a moment in the 4th inning when they were trailing 15-9 that they had the bases loaded and Derek Lynn hit a shot to deep left center that David Plishka caught at the fence on a dead run. A foot more and it could have been a 15-13 ball game. But that was as close as Parker House got and the Headliner's seemed to be taking out all those frustrating losses on Jon Mac as they exploded for 36 hits in their 28-11 blow out. The Headliner's mixed up their lineup a bit this game and it really paid off. Everyone had at least 2 hits, David Plishka was 5-6, Josh Simon was 3-4 and John Boeckel batted 7 times. Let's see if Parker House can forget this one because they won't play again for a couple of weeks. See the twitter feed video for all the fun.
