BAR A brings their B Game While the Irish Run on All 4's in 12-4 Win. Rookie Mike Masella(3-3) did his best to give Bar A some life. His triple in the 1st inning scored 2 with two outs, then he had an RBI single in the 3rd before Bar A fizzled out. The Irish took advantage after trailing 3-0 in the top of the 3rd. It was old faithful, Steve Bollander who finally gave the Irish some luck when he singled to lead off the 3rd. The late arriving Keith Blicht (3-4) followed that with a single and Jonathan Drillings (4-5) drove in the first Irish run with a single up the middle. With 2 outs Al Puleo(4-4) singled in a 2nd run to cut the lead to 3-2. Bar A managed just 1 more run in the bottom of the 3rd and they would not score the rest of the night. With two out in the 4th the Irish got some more luck when Ben Alkin reached on an error. Steve Bollander comes through again with a single, Keith Blicht singled in a run and Jonathan Drillings ties it with another single. 4-4 after 4. We know that 4 is a lucky number for the Irish and they started the 5th with 4 more runs. Rick Beyer, Al Puleo Marty Eagen and Fred Heinsmeyer all single, Ben Alkin hits a run scoring double and Steve Bollander drives in the 4th run on a fielder's choice. Again Bar A goes down quickly and it's the lucky 4 runs again for the Irish, when the top 4 batters all single. The Irish get their first win on all 4's. Tied at 4 in the 4th, 4 runs in the 5th and 4 in the 6th while holding the leagues top team to just 4 runs.
