In Pitchers Duel in the Mud, Leqqett's Wallows Away with Another Win. 3-2. Leqqett's picked up a run in the first after Rob Guibert singled, Dylan Tarlowe singled and Joe Giordano singled to load the bases for Jim Halpin who drove in a run with a fielder's choice. In the bottom half Ralph Avallone doubled for Parker House but was left stranded in the mud. In the second rookie John Petrozzino led off with a double and scored on a fielder's choice. Austin Tarlowe followed with a singled but no more runs. Parker house gets on the board in the bottom of the 2nd after two lead off walks by Dave Schachman and Derek Lynn, oh no, is it happening again? Not this time. After the next batter grounded out Matt Eisenberg singled to plate Parker House's 1st run. The next two batter flew out so after 2 its Leqqett's up 2-1. A double play ends the 3rd without any runs for Leqqett's and John Machiski singled to start the bottom of the 3rd for Parker House. Jason Abfier singled and Ralph Avallone(2-3) singled to tie the game at 2-2. In the 4th Rob Guibert led off with a walk (those leadoff walks can kill you) and with one out Joe Giordano singled and Jim Halpin followed with a single to load the bases. Barry Davis singled in one run (the walk) and then the next batter hit into a 5-2, step on third, throw home double play. Don't you hate those? But that was all the scoring Leqqett's needed as Parker House threaten in the 5th when Rob Thomas led off singled, but a double play left the bases empty for Jon Machiski, who got on by error before Jim Watkins singled which could have scored a run. Parker House only managed 1 more hit over the next 3 innings and Leqqett's wallows away with close victory. In this game the Tarlowe's were 3-5, Rob Guibert scored 2 of Leqqett's 3 runs, Joey G was 2-3 and Lee Kornbluh, who came out of retirement only a few weeks ago, only gave up 8 hits and 2 runs. After all this rain I think we are all ready for some SUN.
