Goodfellas Picks Up Some Aid in 19-2 Shakedown. After dropping a heartbreaker opening day, Goodfellas was looking for some new associates. Goombah Jon Mach's son Aiden was home from College and Jason Berkowitze who both added two hits and two RBI's in their first job with the family. After two innings in the drizzle, Goodfellas got things started when Andy Boyer(3-4) singled to start the 3rd. Jon Mach had an infield single and Chuck Puleo put Goodfellas on the board with a single to right. Jason Lew(4-5) singled in Jon and with two outs, Bam, Jon Cocchio clipped one into the trees in left scoring 3 runs. Derek Lynn(3-5) tripled and scored on a single by Jake Tarnoff. Goodfellas is up 6-0. They add another in the 4th when Andy Boyer again led off with a double to right center and scored when Aiden Mach blasted his 1st LVC hit, a double to left center. In the mean time Goombah Jon was throwing some garbage business on the mound, letting up only 2 hits after 4 innings of play. in the 5th Goodfellas put this away with 4 more runs. Jon Cocchio(4-5) singled, Derek Lynn tripled again, Jake Tarnoff(3-4) doubled, Jason Berkowitz singled and Aiden Mach shows that first double was no joke with a triple scoring the 4th run of the inning. Goodfellas is up 11-0 and starts mixing up the concrete. They pour it on in the 6th with 8 more runs and after beating up on the Gambino's 19-7 on opening day, Johnny Dangerously takes the shoes 19-2. A little Mafia payback. Both teams are now 1-1 for the season. Congrats to Aiden Mach on his first LVC game. He's been waiting a long time to take the field with his father.
