Houston We Got a Problem, The Medi-gone's are Out. Johnny Dangerously and the Medigans both needed to win this game to have any playoff hopes left. It went down to the wire, here's what happened. JD has a big 1st after Deron Green singled, Ryan Coletti walked and Rick Beyer singled in the 1st 2 runs as the ball gets by the outfielder. Joe Giordano doubled in another and Casey Nix followed with a double of his own as that Medigans outfield is tired. Temple Houston(3-4) singled and Kevin Zabransky singled in a 5th run. It's JD 5-0 after 1. Medigans get 2 in the 2nd with two outs Tony Garett, Fred Heismeyer and Jason Dickert all single. Sub Dave Plishka(2-3) singled and 2 runs scored. Boy these subs are making a big difference in these games lately. Johnny goes cold for 3 innings and the Medigans make a run. They pick up 1 in the 3rd when Jesse Ferro, Jason Crimmins and Eric Stivers all single and Tony Garrett hits a sac fly. In the 4th they take the lead with 4 more. Dave Plishka singled, Nick Adams singled, Jesse Ferro singled in Dave,Jason Crimmins doubled to tie the score at 5-5. Victor Cardona singled to give the Medigans their first lead. And Eric Stivers singled to give Medigans a 7-5 lead. JD gets the bats going again in the 5th after Ryan Coletti singled and Rick Beyer(3-4) tripled. Joe Giordano(3-4) singled to tie the game at 7-7. The Medigans don't score for 2 innings and Johnny Dangerously picks up a 1 run lead in the bottom of the 6th. Adam Steckelman singled, Seth Friedman walked, Kevin Z JR singled and Deron Green hit a sac fly. Down by 1 and the season on the line sub Dave Plishka gets up with two outs and nobody on. Dave hits a triple to deep right center. Nick Adams singled him home and didn't make the last out to end his team's season. I wonder if that was on his mind. Jesse Ferro singled but that's it. Johnny D needs just one run to win this. With one out in the bottom of the 7th, the hot Joe Giordano doubled, Casey Nix singled, then Temple Houston drills a single to right. Houston we have a problem, the Medigone's season is over with a 9-8 loss. Johnny Dangerously ends the season 7-9 but still may have a playoff chance, but it's a long shot with tie breakers and they need the Irish to beat Johnny Cakes and, since Johnny Cakes would have the head to head tiebreaker, they other teams to win and force a 3 way tie.
