La Kosher Nostra Rubs Out Corleone in About an Hour 17-1. Wolford cup champion, Corleone wish they could have that 1st hour back, after La Kosher and Greg Auerbach came out swinging with 16 runs in the first hour of the game. Jay Glickson was hot at leadoff with a 4-4 day. He singled to start the game and Malachi Metz, the league's hottest batter, tripled off the foul pole in right to score Jay. With one out RBI king Max Metz singled in his brother. Then Greg Auerbach(4-4) singled to score Max, Pat McNamara(3-4) singled and Lance Zacker doubled in another. Greg Kohn blasted a triple to center, taking advantage of the 9 player, Corleone gaps. Evan Orris singled in the 7th run and LKN is up 7-0 before Corleone gets to take their first swings. LKN was lights out on defense this game with Max Metz making several big stops at 3rd and Brian Cass robbing Mark Spotto of a homer in the 3rd which might have given Corleone some life. LKN put the game out of reach when a Corleone error loaded the bases with 2 outs in the 4th. Then Greg Auerbach cleared them with a double down the line in left. Pat McNamara tripled and LKN was up a 16-0. Corleone managed one run when Dave Plishka(1-2) doubled in the 6th and scored on a single by Ken O'Brien. The big story today was Pat McNamara and the LKN D giving up only 1 run on just 7 Corleone hits. With the win, LKN moves on to play the Irishman tomorrow at 4:00 in the semi finals.
