Game Highlights
Macon Sinks the Pirate's Playoff Ship 14-2 in 1st Semi Final Game. The Pirates impressive 11 game winning streak finally comes to an end. This 9:00am game was not good for the Ghosts who, as rummor has it, play their best at night. Bacon however is a breakfast food and they were feeding off doubles all morning. Jason Crimmins(3-4) had 3 of them to go with his 3 RBI. Macon picked up 3 runs in the 1st after Ralph Aiello singled and with two outs Jason hit his first double. Steve Deblasio's 2 out single plated two runs and Mark Armelino(3-3) picked up the other. Macon breaks it cracks the game open in the 3rd after Ken O'Brien doubled, Jon Cocchio doubled scoring Ken, Steve Deblasio singled in another. Brian Guattia singled and Mark Armelino picked up his 2nd RBI single. Then the big blow, a Matt Eisenberger 2 RBI triple. After that it looked like the Pirates had just seen a Ghost. Bacon poured on 4 more runs in the 4th and pick up an easy win in the first game of the double header. For the Pirates only Max Metz looked awake going 3-3 and getting 1/2 of the Pirates hits. Malachi Metz batted lefty his last time up and hit one in the courts for a double.
