Game Highlights
Ghost Pirates Haunt the Goats with Another Playoff Defeat 7-5. This game was very confusing to follow from the video because the Ghost Pirates had 2 subs and everyone was out of position. The Goats were missing pitcher Dave Schachman and Tony Garrett was on the hill. The music was blasting all game so it didn't seem like either team was too serious about winning the cup. Mark Davis was pitching (maybe he was hurt cause he batted last). Malachi was at short since Max was away and Dave Richmond was in the outfield and so was Greg Auerbach. Malachi made some nice plays at short and the Pirates did their usual solid job at the plate with the players they had. It was a completely different Pirate order as 3 of their big sticks were missing. Malachi led off and batted lefty, which didn't turn out so well, but Neil Ascione singled, Mike Kideckel(3-4) singled and Neil Scored on a single by Greg Auerbach. Pirates go up 1-0. Goats couldn't score in the 2nd and the Pirates get 2 more in the 2nd when sub Alec walked and with two outs the Goats made a Bahh-ed play that allowed another run to score. Then one of the craziest play of the year after a single by Mike Kideckel the Goats threw behind the runner at first but Mike got back safely. With the music blasting the first baseman didn't realize the runner at third was sneaking home before it was too late. So the Ghost go up 3-0 in the 2nd and were up 7-2 to start the 7th. The Goats plated a few runs to make it close but the Pirates hold on to win 7-5. Koodos to Malachi for his game plan.
