The Bananas Butcher the Hens with a 9 Run 3rd Inning and Slide up the Standings. This is the 3rd game in a row that the Hens are trailing big early in the game. Today the Bananas jump out to a 10-0 lead in the top of the 3rd. The Bananas get a "hand" (which is a banana term for a bunch of bananas) from Levi Henninger who was 5-5 with 4 RBIs. Jason Wertheimer went 4-5 with 4 RBIs, Clay Petry(2-3 and 2 walks) and Aidan Mach, who was back in the lineup, and collected 4 hits on the night. Every Banana had at least 1 hit and their D was solid as well. The Hens fought back with 6 runs in the 5th after Greg Esperson tripled and Nick Adams followed with a homer. Then with 2 outs they got a break on a misplay that ended up in right field, but they couldn't keep the momentum going.
