Bacon Scrambles the Eggs 21-8. Macon manager Danny Fariello helped his team run out to a crisp 7-2 lead in the 1st inning by getting the first hit of the inning and the last. Jonathan Cocchio walked and Steve Deblasio singled to load the bases for Mark Armelino who singled in the 1st two runs. Frank Chioccariello singled and Rich Fardo singled in two more. Chris Armelino singled in another and sub Mark Spoto, who played for both teams singled up the middle. Ken O'Brien walked and Danny singled again in the 1st inning to score the 6th run. Jonathan Cocchio was intentionally walked, scoring run number 7. The Mud Hens answered back with two lead off triples. One by Craig Engelhardt who scored on a triple from Greg Espersen. Aric Bernstein(3-4) sacked in a run and after 1 Macon is up 7-2. It was all Macon the rest of the way and pitcher Mark Armelino was impressive on the mound and at the plate with a 4-5 night plus 4 RBIs. Jon Cocchio was 2-3 with 3 walks, a homer and 4 RBIs. Jim Morris tried to carry the Mud Hens on his back with a 4-4 night but the Hens were busy roosting and couldn't get back into it.
