Game Highlights

One Big Inning Sends the Cowboys out to Pasture. The Cowboys were in this one till the dreaded 5th inning when Macon Bacon exploded for 12 runs. Macon's Ralph Aiello(3-4) got things started in the 1st with a lead off single, followed by a Ken O'Brien(3-4) single and then bam, a Jon Cocchio 3 run blast. Macon is up 3-0. Cowboy manager Jason Davis answers back with a lead off triple and scores on a single by Alex Simon(2-3). Mark Spoto singled and Alex scores on a fielder's choice. 3-2 Macon after 1. Macon doesn't score in the top of the 2nd and the Cowboys Steve Horowitz takes a lead off walk. Brian Quinn singled and John McDonough scores Steve on a fielder's choice. Tied up 3-3. Go Cowboys! Ralph Aiello singled again for Macon in the 3rd and dito for Ken O'Brien. Then Jon Cocchio doubles to score Ralph. Jason Crimmins and Steve Deblasio both hit sac flies and Macon is up 6-3. Cowboys get one in the 3rd when Mark hits the Spoto over the left field fence. 6-4 Bacon. Macon plates 2 more in the 4th when Danny Fariello singled and Rich Fardo(2-3) doubled him home. Chris Armelino singled in Rich and it's 8-4 Bacon. Barry Davis lead the bottom of the 4th off with a single, Steve Horowitz works another walk, Josh Simon singled and John McDonough pick up another RBI with a bases loaded walk. Jason Davis scored Steve on a fielder's choice and the Bacon lead is just 2, 8-6 after 4. But everything changed in the 5th when Macon Bacon turns up the heat after another Jon Cocchio HR blast, a solo this time. Jason Crimmins doubled to right and then Steve Deblasio matches Jon with a homer of his own. Six singles and a walk later brings up Jason Crimmins with bases loaded and Jason gets his 2nd double of the inning and clears the bases. It's now 20-6 and this one is over.
