Hens End 6 Game Losing Streak 15-2 Over the Patriots. In a must win game for the Hens, they get a break as starting pitcher Paul Martino did not play. With the game tied 0-0 in the 3rd, the Hens get another break as Mark Slayton reaches first on a one out error. Craig Engelhardt singled and with two outs Aric Bernstein(2-3) doubled in the first run. Greg Esperson(4-4) singled to score two more. Nick Adams(3-4) singled and Bruce Dostal(3-3) singled in run number 4. Pat McNamara walked to score a 5th run and Dimitri Rassias singled by 3rd for run number 6. The Hens blew it open in the 5th with 5 more runs on hits from Greg Esperson, Nick Adams, Bruce Dostal, Keith Blicht(1-2), Dimitri Rassias, Dave Jenson and Mug Naveendera. It could have been more but John Petrozzino nailed a runner trying to score from 2nd. The Patriots loaded the bases in the 4th but couldn't score. They broke the shutout in the 6th after John Petrozzino singled and RJ Leonard hit a two run homer. The loss drops the Pats to 5-9 while the Hens move up to 8-10 with only 2 games remaining.
