The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Of the three games today, this was the Good one. Maynard's and Leqqett's were neck and neck till the bottom of the 3rd when Leqqett's put up 6 runs. Lee Kornbluh was the hot batter going 2-3 with 2 RBIs for Leqqett's. In the 1st Leqqett's picks up a run on an error and a single by Joe Giordano(2-3). Maynard's ties it in the 2nd on a 2 out single by Eddie Russnow and a double by Jeff Brooks. Leqqett's regains the lead in the 2nd when the speedy Jason Davis singled, Jeff Tarlowe walked, Temple Houston doubled and Lee Kornbluh singled to put Leqqett's up 3-1. Maynard's Adam Handler singled with two outs in the 3rd. Then Rich Citron singled and Rookie Kay Klele singled to cut the lead to 1. But in the bottom of the 3rd John Petrozzio sparked Leqqett's with leadoff homer. Joe Giordano singled, Jim Halpin singled and Jason Davis(2-2) walked to load the bases for Scott O'Neil. Scott singled in two runs. Jeff Tarlowe was walked again (maybe they thought he was Dylan). Temple Houston drives in a run with a fielder's choice and yes, Lee Kornbluh comes through again with a line single to score their 9th and final run. Leqqett's goes up 9-2 and Maynard's couldn't recover. Leqqett's bats go cold but they hold on to a 9-4 victory in their 2nd Wolford cup game. Maynard's, who started off the season on fire, is now extinguished. For Maynard's Steve Horowitz, Kay Klele and Rich Citron were all 2-3.
